Training

Training protects your investment. After all of the time, energy and money spent bringing a product or service to the market, training employees, customers and partners to effectively use your product makes sense. But when your expertise lies in creation and building your product, designing an effective method of training people requires outside help.

That's where we come in. We have the knowledge and tools to build training programs that work.

A typical project could consist of many or all of the following:

An In-depth Needs Analysis

Determine what you are looking to gain from the training. Is there an existing knowledge base to start from? Are you looking for orientation or an in-depth certification program? What's the audience like? What will the project cost? What method or combination of methods is best suited for the expected outcome?

Instructional Design Plan

Based on the information in the Needs Analysis, an Instructional Design Plan is created. This clarifies everyone's roles and sets expectations as to what the training will and will not achieve. The Plan serves as a road-map for the rest of the project.

Media creation

The type of media to be created is dependent on the Instructional Design Plan. Instructional Designers, Subject Matter Experts and Media Creation Experts form a team to bring the intent of the Instructional Design Plan to life. The process may involve creation of text, still graphics, movies, animations, music, narration, databases, Shockwave content.

Usability Testing

As early in the process as is practical, the results of the Instructional Design Plan are tested with real end users or those with similar skill and knowledge levels. By engaging in this process, we can refine the presentation to maximum effectiveness.

Evaluation and Updating

As final-stage to the initial process, a post-mortem is used to evaluate materials, content and design against the stated goals of the project. Further revisions are measured against the likelihood that they will move toward the desired end-result. Ongoing testing and evaluation will point out unforeseen weakness in the training product. It may become necessary to redesign individual pages or segments of content should the content become dated and new information become available.
